There is nothing more important than your security and peace of mind.
If you sign up for this program, the calling system will call you once a day to make sure you are well and doing all right. You decide when you will be called so that this telephone check will be convenient for you. Most people schedule it first thing in the morning before their busy day begins. When you pick up the phone you may listen to our crime prevention message and hang-up anytime. If you do not answer at the designated time after several attempts the computer will alert and someone will check on you.
This program would not be possible without the SC Dept. of Public Safety and federal Byrne funds.
What is this service?
A computerized calling system designed to call you once a day and ask,
“ Are you doing all right?”
Does it cost anything?
No ! It is free.
How does it work?
A computer will make the call to your home at a designated time you choose. When you answer the phone a special crime prevention message will begin. All you have to do is listen & then hang up. If the phone is not answered the computer will call back within the hour. If the phone is not answered a second time, a neighbor, key holder or police officer will check on you to make sure that “you are doing all right.”
What do I need to do to sign up?
Fill out an information form that is kept totally confidential.
· Agree to call and let us know if you will not be at home for any reason.
