Welcome to the Fire Marshal's Office
The goal of this office is to prevent loss of life and property though planning, education, and code enforcement.
Planning
All new construction will come though this office to be checked for life safety issues and compliance to the international fire and building codes. All businesses moving into a pre existing structure will be required to have a Fire Marshal's inspection.
Education
We provide training and assistance to all town residents and businesses through the use of:
1. Fire Extinguisher training
2. Hood Extinguishment
3. Senior Fire Safety Classes
4. Smoke Detector Classes
5. Working with carious programs for kids in public and private schools.
6. In house public education for Adults & Kids
Code Enforcement
This is one of the most miss understood and unappreciated part of the Fire Marshal's job, but one of the most important. It is thought code enforcement, planning, and education that the City of Moncks Corner has continued to be a fire safe place to live and work. By observing, making recommendations, and controlling or elimination hazardous conditions, the inspector can make major strides toward accomplishing this goal before a fire occurs.
